The Alfred Wills refuge is located in the heart of the nature reserve on the large Anterne mountain pasture. It's a two-hour walk from Sixt, passing the magnificent Cascade de la Pleureuse. An ideal break for families (from 5 years).

Description

Simple, comfortable, rustic shelter. Equipped with comforters and pillows, just bring a sheet and pillowcase (sold on site). The team creates a mountain atmosphere around typical dishes and an eco-responsible wine list.
Daytime catering: raclette fondue, omelettes, charcuterie and cheese platters, veggie and non-veggie bolws, blueberry tart, homemade desserts, drinks, etc.
Mountain dinner (depending on supplies): homemade soup, roast-polenta or fondue, diots lentils... homemade dessert.

Departure possible from Plaine Joux as part of the Tour des Fiz.

Location

Closest village or station: Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. At Sixt, follow the direction of the Rouget waterfall and continue to the end of the road to park at Lignon. Park before, at Fardelay if you want to do the loop circuit.
Walking time from the nearest car park: Le Lignon - Walking time 2 hours. Possibility to ride a horse, with a donkey (reserved place, stake)
Coach parking: Le Fardelay - Sixt Fer à Cheval.
