DOMA exhibition

Almost all of DOMA's paintings have a realistic, even hyperrealistic, aspect.
He doesn't have a particular subject. He paints landscapes, animals, human representations, and portraits. His work is magnificent.
Description
He searches his environment or his life experiences for graphic elements that he could exploit: through repetition, distortion, originality. This is a basic element before a second one that allows him to develop a scenario, a story, an idea.
For the realization, he organizes himself in the same way: once he has the theme and the framework, he searches
on the internet for documentation and/or images of the subject. He creates a montage of the various visuals collected.
This montage allows him to validate the layout, the framing, and the story he wants to evoke.
This image is often far from the canvas that will be created. It is necessary to find the definitive atmosphere, colors, and energy.
For ceramic sculptures, because Doma is also a ceramist, he first creates objects (using the molding technique) which he distorts and repurposes before an initial firing. Then he applies the enamel (in powder form) before the second vitrification firing at 980°C.
Excellent originality, softness, and roundness create impressive pieces that seem like a dream, a lost childhood.
