The Two Lakes Loop

One of the most beautiful hikes in Les Carroz, with the Vernant and Airon lakes and a breathtaking panorama from the top of the Tête des Saix.

Description

Tour of the Pointe de Corbalanche to discover the Combe Enverse and the Vernant lake (trout fishing), then climb to the Tête des Saix (2118m), the highest point of the Carroz resort, with a panoramic view of the Mont-Blan chain, the Haut-Giffre and Aravis massifs. Then descent into the combe de l'Airon with its lake and its mountain pasture farm (restaurant and cheese sales in season).

Outside the opening dates of the gondola, the hike can be done from the Airon bend (about 8km towards Flaine - 8th hairpin bend after the Molliets).
